The Wood Library and Museum seeks to enrich the lives of adults and children through exhibits, educational programs and events, with a special focus on the rich history of South Windsor and the Connecticut River Valley. By providing an open door to those who value history and culture, Wood strives to be a place for, learning and enjoyment, and regards the stewardship of the literature, fine art, artifact and archival collections central to its commitment to current and future generations.
In order to fulfill this mission, The Wood Library and Museum is dedicated to providing public access to low cost educational programs, school field trips and engaging lectures concerts and films for adults.
The Wood is also committed to increasing ease of access to our library and collections through the digitization of collection materials and increase availability of archivists and volunteers.
