Wood Memorial Library Bluebird House Program
Monday, February 18, 2008 at 6 p.m.

Join us for a special program with "Mr. Bluebird", Lionel MacDonald of the Super Sixties Sportsmen Club. on Monday, February 18th at 6 P.M.

The winner of the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection's Green Circle Award, MacDonald organized a bluebird restoration program in South Windsor and has been a CARE instructor for the DEP for several years.

Learn about our feathered friends- their habitat, diet, song, migration habits, and more. Then assemble your own bluebird nesting box to encourage nesting right in your backyard. Plenty of assistance will be available- participants just need to bring a full-size hammer.
This is a great project for Scouting groups!

The cost of the program, which includes the birdhouse kit, is $12 per house.
More than one member of a family may work on a house.

To make the program effective, the maximum number of participants is limited to 20,
so register early. Pre-registration is required.
To reserve a house, call 289-1783.
Help keep the bluebird flourishing in Connecticut!
