Conversation
and Book Signing

Catherine M. Elliott, Simsbury artist/illustrator,
and
Jim Ballard, author, will talk about collaborating
on the book "Little Wave and Old Swell", published recently by Simon
and Schuster, with John Wadhams, Director, Wood Memorial Library, at the Library
on Friday June 27 at 5 PM. The conversation will
be followed by a few readings from the book, which is an allegory for young and
old readers alike. The artist and author will sign books and refreshments will
be served.
Wood Memorial Library is at 783 Main Street, South Windsor,
Connecticut and the telephone is 289-1783.
Catherine Elliott is a well-known
regional artist who paints in the American Impressionist style. Currently Ms.
Elliott has a one-woman show at the Wood Memorial Library which continues through
July 14.
Jim Ballard has written a number of inspirational books, including
"Mind Like Water" and "What's the Rush?". He has also coauthored
several popular books along with the bestselling business guru, Ken Blanchard,
including "The One Minute Manager". Deepak Chopra, author of "Power,
Freedom, and Grace" said about Ballard's book: "Little Wave and Old
Swell is a classic. It you get its message, you will understand the true meaning
of enlightenment and freedom".
The conversation and book signing
are open to the public without charge. Families are encouraged to attend.
