Join us for one or both hands-on workshops with Pasty Chef and Gingerbread Artist Kristine Hastreiter. The workshops can be taken individually or together. All are welcome – from beginners to more advanced house makers! Kristine will share her tips, insights and practical approaches for assembling and decorating YOUR creative gingerbread vision. Both workshops will be held at Wood Memorial Library & Museum at 783 Main Street in South Windsor, CT.
Workshop #1: All About Assembly
- Methods for assembling your house
- How to attach your house to its base
- Adding “landscaping” to your scene
- Piping Bags & Decorating Tips: Color flow, making icicles, when to decorate components before assembly
Please bring your pre-cut and baked gingerbread pieces to the workshop. Or, a kit is fine. A great recipe for gingerbread suitable for building houses can be found here.
